Hi! My name is Rebekah King and I am a 22 year-old, junior at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. I double major in Communication Studies on the track of Leadership and Public Advocacy and Mass Communications with a concentration in Public Relations. I am actively involved in Public Relations Student Society of America where I serve as chapter Treasurer. I am also a part of Lambda Pi Eta- Communications Honor Society and Phi Kappa Phi-National Honors Fraternity. During the fall semester, I love to put my event planning skills to work and help organize Homecoming events on Homecoming Committee. I will graduate in May 2015 with the hope of becoming an event and/or wedding coordinator.
I grew up in a little town located in central Pennsylvania called Dillsburg. I live with my mom, dad, big brother, lovable Cocker Spaniel, and my crazy cat. Although Pennsylvania is where I call home, my favorite place to be is Cape May, NJ. My family has vacationed there for over 35 years and I hope to carry on the tradition for many more years. I love spending time at the beach with my family and friends. There’s nothing better than the sand between your toes and the sound of crashing waves.
This summer I had an internship in Atlantic City working for an wedding and special events venue. I learned a lot while there. You can follow my journey on my other blog here.
I am a self diagnosed coffee and television addict. At most times you can find a cup of coffee in my hands and you’ll know when I haven’t had my daily dose. Netflix is my most viewed web page and love finding new shows and binge-watching them. Recently I have started attending a Yoga class and I would recommend it to anyone. I’m obsessed with macaroni and cheese and love trying different variations of the classic dish whenever I find it. I enjoy listening to country music and attending summer concerts with my friends.
